Events at The Citadel

There are four different types of events we run at The Citadel. Open Skirmishes are fun, easy to play games with simple rules, and simple objectives, the goal of these events is to be fun, but still give some trigger time to experienced players. Operations or Sim-Ops are more in-depth Mil-Sim events that are sometimes run outdoors as well, the goal of these events is to provide a simulation experience to intermediate and experienced players. We also run special events which are typically thematic games like Zombie Apocalypse Survival and things similar to add some non-traditional events to the mix. Finally we run training events for different skill levels to boost their skills.

Operations, Special Events and Training will have their own rules posted along with the event.

Open Skirmish games are run 4 days a week most weeks at The Citadel.

These types of games are easy to learn and usually last no more than 30 minutes per game. Each Open Skirmish night, games are run about every 30 minutes with small breaks in between. You are not required to play every game and can sit out any that you wish, or you can play every one if you are up for it.

Restrictions

Some games are only for “Pistols and Shotguns”. This restricts you to what kind of Airsoft gun you can use to make things more challenging.

We only put a limited number of tickets available for on-line sale as a courtesy to those coming from a long distance

Skirmish Game Rules

Below is a list of some of the games we run on Open Skirmish Nights and their rules. Please feel free to ask about anything that is not clear before the game starts.

  • Force on Force - This type of game is very straightforward. The goal is to eliminate the apposing team. The game ends when all the opposing players are out or 30 minutes. (Whatever comes first)
  •

  • Two against the world - In this game, teams are made up of two players each. Each team of two is tasked with eliminated every other team of two. At the start of the game, each Team of two is given a chance to find their own starting point within The Citadel playing area. When the horn sounds, the fight is on! This is meant to be an aggressive game. No camping Sparky! The game ends when all the opposing players are out or 30 minutes. Whatever comes first.
  •

  • VIP Escort - In this game, a team is tasked with escorting a VIP in a predetermined path around the Citadel playing floor. The apposing team is tasked with capturing the VIP. The VIP starts out Armed with a pistol. If the VIP is shot, they must be “medic’ed” for 30 seconds to get them moving again. In order to capture the VIP, the apposing teams must “medic” the VIP and get them moving again. The VIP must stay with that team and not attempted escape (Because of safety limitations) and they can also not use their pistol wile “captured”. To recover the VIP, the original escort team must “medic” the VIP. Once the VIP has rejoined his escort, they may again use their pistol. The escort team has 30 minutes to finish their objective. The VIP wears a suit jacket to identify them.
  •

  • Capture the Flag - Each team starts in a different area of the play field (With their flag). The objective of each team is to “capture” the other teams flag and bring it back to their “home base”. If your teams flag is “captured” you must recover it and bring it back to you base. This game requires both teams to play both attack and defense. If you are holding a flag (either flag) and you are hit, you must drop the flag immediately. For safety reasons, do not run while holding the flags.
  •

  • Domination - This game is simple. There are three flags on the field. Each flag is in a different area. The team that can capture and hold at least 2 of the three flags at the end of the half hour game wins! You capture that flag base by being in its proximity and neither fireing at another player or getting fired at. In short, no fighting is going on at that flag.
  •

  • Downed Pilot - A pilot has crashed his aircraft and made it into the building and is hiding to evade capture. 1 team is tasked with finding him and rescuing him. The other is tasked with capturing him. Will the bad guys win or will the good guys save the day?
  •

  • Somebody set us up the bomb - A bomb(prop!) has been planted in the building. The terrorists job is to find it and arm it and start the countdown and keep the counter-terrorist squad away from it till it blow up. The counter-terrorists job is to find the terrorists, take them out and stop the bomb from going off!

Operation: Blackjack April 15th 2012

Codename Blackjack, a CIA signals intelligence mission over North Korea has gone terribly wrong. After collecting very valuable intelligence on North Korea's nuclear capabilities and procedures during a missile drill the spy aircraft went down just off the coast of North Korea. The pilot at EWO made landfall and Delta Force was sent in on a SAR mission to extract them and their blackbox but their escape plan has been compromised by North Korean naval and air assets leaving them stuck in hostile territory.

China was monitoring North Korean airspace and through their intelligence has realized what has happened. China has sent in an elite force to capture the blackbox from the US Airmen, capture them and use them as a bargaining chip with the US. The North Koreans also are searching for the US Airmen but are unaware of their covert mission or the Chinese involvement as well.

This is a MilSim event and many MilSim rules will be in use.
